TV HIGHLIGHT

-

LORDS OF DOGTOWN

Fans of the late Aussie actor Heath Ledger will have the opportunity of seeing their idol in action. The film came out in 2005, which was also the year of release of Brokeback Mountain, the film that gave Ledger’s career the stamp of respectability. Up until that point, he was seen as just a “pretty boy” with no thespian substance. Less than four years later, he was found dead of an overdose of pills.

Another young actor appearing alongside Ledger is Emile Hirsch; a promising talent who’s kept himself alive and working in largely independent titles.

The film isn’t a “highlight” in the sense that it’s any kind of milestone in film-making.
