THE natural hair movement continues to grow, which is encouragin­g to witness.

With natural hair fast gaining popularity, brands and suppliers of hair products are expanding on their product ranges to cater for the women and men who are choosing to keep their hair chemicalfr­ee. This didn’t happen overnight; the narrative that straight hair is better than natural hair has dominated mainstream media for the longest time.

It has taken years for many women to learn to love their kinky and curly hair and to realise that they don’t have to alter their hair to conform to what society and industry regards as “beauty”.
