Rowing their way to victory

ST MARY’S School, Waverley, rowing club secured another victory at the 2019 South African Schools’ Rowing Championships.

This is the premier schools’ event on the rowing calendar and has been won by St Mary’s on 20 of the 26 occasions in which they have competed.

In this year’s event, St Mary’s rowing club ended at the top of the medal table, won the U14 and U16 age group trophies and took the glory in the premier 1st quad race by the smallest margin in a record1/100th of a second.

St Mary’s rowing club would like to thank the SASRU organising committee, all the officials and supporters for a spectacular weekend.
