MORRISTOWN, Arizona: Grumpy Cat, whose sourpuss demeanour became an internet sensation, has died at the age of 7.

Her owner Tabatha Bundesen said “Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world – even when times were tough.”

The cat’s real name was Tardar Sauce, and she rose to fame after photograph­s of her were posted online in 2012. She had more than 2 million followers on Instagram and more than 1 million on Twitter. Her website says her face appeared grumpy because she had a form of dwarfism.

Same-sex marriage is legal in 26 UN member states: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, the UK, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherland­s, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Uruguay and the US.

In some of these countries, such as Mexico and the UK, marriage is open only to same-sex couples in some regions.

Same-sex second parents can legally adopt in 30 countries, while 28 allow joint adoption.
