BASKETBALL

EDENGLEN High School learners participated in the Swiss 60/60 chess tournament held at Marechelle Country Club in Kempton Park. The U-15 girls team qualified for the Gauteng provincial tournament to be held in Pretoria on August 24, and the U-18 girls came out in 3rd position, but could not qualify, since only the first 2 positions were considered for qualification.

Kamogelo Dzingwa and Ishka Durwaka (both 8F) came 2nd at the chess district tournament. There were seven schools competing.
