ALTHOUGH its Rogue-badged equivalent was launched in the US last year, the X-trail model is taking its sweet time to reach internatio­nal markets. But now we have something resembling a timeline, with Nissan’s European division releasing the first official picture of the newgenerat­ion X-trail. Although we’re only seeing it from the front for now, it does look identical to the Rogue from this angle so it’s probably safe to assume that the same applies to the rest of the vehicle. Nissan SA tells us that it is also looking set to hit our shores next year.

TOYOTA is planning to introduce 15 electric vehicles globally by 2025, bringing the Japanese carmaker a step closer to achieving carbon neutrality before 2050.

MITSUBISHI Motors South Africa, which introduced the latest version of the Pajero Sport in September 2017 and followed it up with upgrades in 2019 and 2020, has launched the Pajero “Legend 100” Club. This marks the release of the last 100 Special Edition versions of the iconic SUV in its current iteration. “We’re celebratin­g it with the Pajero ‘Legend 100’ Club, which will find new lucky homes in 2021, proving the popularity of the car that built up an unequalled Dakar record which still stands,” says Nic Campbell, general manager of Mitsubishi Motors SA.
