The rights organisation went as far as calling on states to impose individual sanctions, including travel bans and asset freezes, against individuals in Israel responsible for the continued commission of these crimes, and to place a condition on arms sales and military and security assistance to Israel. | IOL and Reuters

THE US should consider moving its Africa Command (Africom) military headquarters to the continent from Germany to better tackle violence in the region, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said this week. Nigerian security forces face security challenges including kidnappings and piracy as well as insurgency by Islamist militant group Boko Haram. There is a security crisis in the Sahel region as groups linked to al-qaeda and Islamic State attack military forces and civilians. Africom did not immediately respond to a request for comment. | Reuters
