Gone are the days of having to book plane tickets and accommodation over the phone or in-store at a travel agent. Thanks to innovative businesses such as Airbnb, you could plan an entire trip from the comfort of your bed, if you so wished.

HAVE you ever wondered what life was like before the internet? What about before cellphones? It’s hard, isn’t it? Our lives have become so entwined in technology that we can’t really picture 20 years ago when a landline was our only communication with the outside world.

Ironically, this form of technology is close to becoming obsolete.

Pricecheck chief executive Kevin Tucker says it’s important to look back at innovations that have changed our lives and some that will undoubtedly change our future.
