‘COINING IT’ FOR DEVELOPMENT

IN DECEMBER, the Afro Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland, launched the Afro, a pan-african cryptocurrency dedicated to growth and development in Africa.

It is hoped that the Afro will provide a reliable and secure solution suited to Africa’s development challenges. To mark the launch, the foundation’s Founders Committee has mounted an awareness campaign to enable users to find out about and experiment with the Afro.
