At the heart of the two different bikes is a completely newly developed 313 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with four valves and two overhead camshafts, together with electronic fuel injection.

like all BMW motorcycles, both models are fitted with ABS as standard, combining a high-performance brake system with two-channel ABS for efficient deceleration and short braking distances. For use over light terrain, the ABS in the new G 310 Gs can be conveniently deactivated with the press of a button. The G 310 Gs instrument cluster also has a large, liquidcrystal display that offers excellent clarity and a wide range of information.
