Go Fly a Kite

Be a part of an exciting attempt to set a South African record of 2,000 kites in the air simultaneously at the third annual Eden Kite Festival. Taking place on the huge Eden Lawns fields in Sedgefield in the Southern Cape on 22 October, the participants that will entertain with their mindboggling kites are local and international flyers from Poland, England, Germany, Tasmania, and more. Eden is attracting increasing international interest, and is seen as an exciting and enjoyable stop for kiters en route to the longstanding Cape Town International Kite Festival. A full programme of entertainment means fun for the whole family, and visitors can enjoy a wide array of crafts and food, as well as the option to participate in a trail run. The event is in aid of charity organisation Masithandane and all proceeds go towards supporting the disadvantaged of Sedgefield.
