Italian Dining Faux Pas

-

No cappuccinos after breakfast – Italians view diary as a breakfast accompaniment, not for all-day drinking.

Relax and enjoy your meal. Waitrons won’t be asking you how your food is every few minutes, you will be left to enjoy it in peace with your fellow diners, and you won’t get your bill unless you specifically ask for it.

Don’t just top up your own drink, always top up those of your fellow diners too.

Cheese has no place with fish in Italy – the two are always separate, so only ask for parmesan on your seafood dish if your plan is to gain some scornful glances.
