Since in­tro­duc­ing a spe­cial pro­gramme of cook­ing demon­stra­tions around its cen­tre­piece Kitchen Ta­ble, Leop­ard’s Leap Fam­ily Vine­yards in Fran­schhoek have been en­ter­tain­ing those pas­sion­ate about all things culi­nary to an ex­cep­tional ex­pe­ri­ence of cook­ing, eat­ing, and win­ing. The am­i­ca­ble Chef Pi­eter de Jager demon­strates the­matic dishes while in­volv­ing par­tic­i­pants in all as­pects of cook­ing, and guid­ing them to bet­ter un­der­stand dishes and recipes, to prac­tice tech­niques, and to con­fi­dently iden­tify tastes and match­ing them with com­ple­ment­ing wines. On 6 April, “Sweet, Sh­weet, Swiet” sees Chef Pi­eter guid­ing guests through a tempt­ing ar­ray of del­i­cate pas­tries and mor­eish desserts.
