Take to the Beach

-

Abu Dhabi, brimming as it is with a rich culture, divine cuisine, architectural wonders, and glamorous spots at which to relax, ticks many getaway boxes. Here are three ways to approach a vacation to this Emirate – a place where tradition and culture meet astounding modernity.

If spending days lounging on a pristine beach, taking refreshing ocean dips, indulging in delicious cuisine, and being immersed in luxury in the form of five-star suites is your idea of a perfect holiday, then look no further than the Park Hyatt Hotel and Villas on the natural Saadiyat Island.

Lush greenery meets sublime beachfront at Park Hyatt. For those who wish to stripe a four iron, the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is just a five-minute drive away from the main hotel. This 18-hole golf course was designed by South Africa’s one and only Gary Player, and is the first and only ocean course in the Arabian Gulf with beachfront tees. Players can make their way through the course with views of the Saadiyat coastline, where dolphins are sometimes spotted.

Relax on the stretch of natural beach outside of Park Hyatt. When you have had enough of the baking sun, the turquoise ocean is just a few steps away. This beach is a nesting spot for the endangered Hawksbill sea turtles, and is therefore a conservation area. The onsite marine biologist has some fascinating facts about these interesting creatures and the area to inform environmentally-conscious guests.

One of the best places to take in the seascape is from the Beach House. Here, skilfully prepared Mediterranean dishes and refreshing drinks are served. When it is time for sundowners, you can accompany your cocktail with your choice of shisha. Being named the Best Mediterranean Restaurant in Abu Dhabi for 2017 by Fact Dining Awards further establishes the Beach House as one of the top places to dine in Abu Dhabi.

The interiors of the Park Hyatt are breathtaking. The five-star rooms, suites, and villas with their contemporary design exude elegance. The private terraces of the rooms offer views of either the gardens, ocean, or pool. Welcoming touches include the bathroom being well-stocked with amenities, as well as the daily provision of fresh fruit, a wide selection of teas, and a Nespresso machine.
