A Sophisticated Secret

-

It isn’t often that I’m surprised. I always have an intuition or a feeling that usually puts me on a pretty trustworthy path. When I first heard about The Light House Boutique Suites, I sensed something really special. And once I arrived my initial feeling was proven correct – and then some. The stark white American colonial-style house shines like a beacon on the lush Paarl hillside. The driveway is lined with immaculately preened bushes and trees, and sprinkled with soft-hued flowers – it feels like another world. The duck-egg blue shutters add an air of European charm, as do the rose bushes full of pure white blooms.

Once inside, we are greeted by décor that I can only describe as faultless, everything looking perfect in the location it had been placed. Vases of bright, fresh flowers top almost every surface, a variety of Persian rugs lie luxuriously over gleaming hardwood floors, and soft lighting glows from the multiple gilded chandeliers that light the way towards the formal lounge and dining room. Soft and subtle decorative elements come together flawlessly in every room, not to mention the heavenly scent of fresh flowers.

It is clear from the outset that The Light House Boutique Suites specialises in luxury. Every element is of the highest quality – from the calibre of the books that grace the shiny coffee table, to the exotic fabric chosen for the cushion covers. A mixture of classic and modern art adorns the walls, all of which is sourced from talented local artists.
