The Wonderful World of Vondeling
Within the Paarl region of the Western Cape Winelands, you will find the Paardeberg (or more specifically, Voor-paardeberg) region – known not only for its rich history, but also for the area’s natural beauty, fauna and flora, and of course the exceptional wine produced in the area.
One of the wine farms not to be missed when on the Paardeberg wine route is Vondeling Wines. The Vondeling vineyards run off the southfacing slopes of the Paardeberg Mountain where the decomposed granite soil along with south-westerly winds give the wines a sensational vibrancy. As a destination, Vondeling includes an historic Cape Dutch homestead, a wine-tasting room, as well as St Clement’s Chapel, a beautifully built church and wedding venue.
Choosing the right wedding venue is often the most challenging part of any nuptial planning process. This British-owned winery is tucked away in the Voor-paardeberg region, and offers couples the opportunity to get married at one of the most intimate, not to mention unique, venues in the Cape. A Dappled Chapel The venue boasts a fully-anointed chapel, St Clement’s Chapel, which was completed in
