Lunga Adam, it’s with laughter and pleasure to be writing this letter about your newspaper. I’m still not over the Thamsanqa ‘Gandaganda’ Gabuza stories. How possible is it that we have Jacob Sakala stories somewhere in this paper? Almost every second player you interview on ‘Still in Touch’ has something to say about the man. The guy was a character and I can’t get enough of his stories. Thanking you in advance… Simanga Ephraim Sondag, Welkom, Free State Evolution in football is very good, especially in terms of science and technology. On the pitch, I’m not sure how the evolution of formations and systems affect the game. It’s too theoretical than practical. The more I look at it, the more I believe that coaching evolution is restricting and depriving the world of goals. Coaching is overrated. You can call it tactical discipline - the reason for goalless draws and 1-0 wins. A lot of coaches play not to lose, hence the goalscorers are overworked. The real question is – is the world short of strikers or are the players being restricted and remote-controlled by too much coach-

ing? How often are they encouraged to use their own discretion, improvise and play to their strengths? Players are being converted into what they are not and expected to deliver. Football is a game of mistakes that’s why youth football is enjoyable to watch e because those mistakes create excitement. There’s hardly 0-0 draws. There are two types of goals, a brilliant individual/team goal and a goal scored from opposition’s mistake. No matter how much things change in football, goals keep clubs alive.

Lucky Khunou, Meriting The trending picture of poor Lerato Chabangu on social media must touch one of the Good Samaritans. I don’t know if he’s gone to a rehab centre before, but I believe with help he can recover. Seeing him in that physical condition makes me sorrowful.

Terah Maqepula, Mt Fletcher Orlando Pirates are just doing wonders under Milutin Sredojevic. l don’t see any team stopping us at this rate. At least this time we have players who deserve to don the jersey. Thanks for silencing our noisy neighbours. This is our season.
