R4 million plus Kutumela for Makaringe?
Orlando Pirates are expected to pay R4 million and include a player in exchange for Fortune Makaringe.
According to Siya sources, Makaringe’s transfer from Maritzburg United to the Soweto giants is as good as done, with the details of the move now being ironed out. The Buccaneers, who have been linked to the 25-year-old midfielder for some time, are expected to add him to their roster ahead of the 2019/20 season.
According to Siya sources, the complete deal is worth in the region of R7 million and includes Thabiso Kutumela.
In January, Maritzburg signed Kutumela from Pirates, following the player’s return from a long lay-off with injury. His move, according to Siya sources, was used as a sweetener to secure Makaringe’s signature.
It has been confirmed that the 25- year- old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, though indications are that his move is part of Makaringe moving in the opposite direction.
According to Siya sources, Kutumela has been valued t R3 million, and a cash fee f R4 million is expected to hange h hands once the move is s finalised.
Former Team of Choice co oach, Fadlu Davids, is one o f coach Milutin Sredojevic’s assistants and will be welcoming the player to Orlando if all goes according to plan.
