• Siphamandl­a Mkhize, who was relegated with African Warriors a few seasons ago, has been snapped up by Cape Town third-tier highflyers, Steenberg United FC. “We will surely be in the NFD after the play-offs,” he said.

• Well- travelled striker, Sherwin Smith, 31, previously on the books of Bay United, Sivutsa Stars, Black- burn Rovers, FC Cape Town, Thanda Royal Zulu, Cape Town All Stars and Royal Eagles, is without a club. “I don’t have an agent,” he told Soccer Laduma. • Former University of Pretoria FC head coach, Evangelos Vellios, who’s been replaced by Zipho Dlangalala, hasn’t been entirely lost to the club. “He’s still in the structure,” confirmed assistant coach Brian Sebapole. • Orlando Pirates striker, Zakhele Lepasa, who began the season with Stellenbos­ch FC, has joined TS Galaxy on loan until the end of the season. “We’re work- ing on getting him ready to play,” said assistant coach Thulani Nkosi. • SuperSport United forward, Darren Smith, made his debut for Ubuntu Cape Town in a 2-0 loss to Stellenbos­ch following a loan agreement between the two clubs.

• TS Sporting has signed two defenders, Jupiter Ngwenya from Black Leopards and Blessing Moyo, last with Maritzburg United. “They are with us,” confirmed assistant coach Sly Mosala.

• Struggling Witbank Spurs were reduced to nine men during the last 20 minutes of their 3-1 defeat to University of Pretoria when new signing, Vukile Mngqibisa, as well as Nduduzo Phakathi, received second yellow cards for infringeme­nts. • Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ludick Mkhatshwa, who played in that match for Spurs, has left Mbombela United.
