French outfit join Chiefs & Downs in Mvala pursuit

-

Following an excellent first half of the season in the Absa Premiership in 2018/19, the Siya crew has been informed that Mothobi Mvala has attracted interest from outside the country with his fine form.

Mvala, a one-club man, has been one of the main catalysts for the Lions of the North after they regained their place in the top-flight for this season, scoring seven league goals to date as he continues to fight it out for the league’s Golden Boot.

It has previously been reported that several clubs, including Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, have been considering a move for the attacking midfielder, and his coach, Owen da Gama, told the media earlier in the year that they had turned down a R10m offer for his services.

While the club would be reticent to lose Mvala, should they secure their place in the Absa Premiership come the end of the season, they then may be willing to let him move on as a reward for his efforts over the campaign, and there’s a French Ligue 1 club that is tracking him - according to Siya sources.

According to Siya sources, Toulouse have earmarked the 24-year-old as a potential target for the next transfer window as they seek to bolster their side for the 2019/20 season in a bid to improve their league form.

The French side are thought to be monitoring the midfielder’s progress over the next few months before deciding whether to make a move for him at the end of the season or not.
