AJAX TO WARD OFF SSU’S SASMAN INTEREST?

-

Ajax Cape Town are looking to offer one of their players a new deal at the club, with the player having been heavily linked with a move to SuperSport United.

As reported by the Siya crew in the past weeks, Yagan Sasman has been identified by SuperSport as a transfer for the upcoming July/August window, after talks of the Tshwane-based club potentially landing his signature on a pre-contract.

Sasman’s stay with Ajax will come to an end on June 30, which means that he is able to sign a pre-contract with any interested suitor until then, where after he will be deemed a free agent.

However, Siya sources have since indicated to the crew that the Urban Warriors do not want to lose the left back’s services, with the club looking to offer the player an extended contract.

Ajax are currently sat in third place on the NFD standings, as they continue to fight for promotion back into the Absa Premiership.

Indications are that coach Andries Ulderink views Sasman as an inte-

gral part of his squad and wants to keep hold of his services, should the Urban Warriors make their way back to the topflight.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Ajax will table an irresistible offer to the 22-year-old that could see them ward off SuperSport.
