MORE PLAYER CHANGES AT MARITZBURG

-

The latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Maritzburg United are not yet done with making changes to their squad, despite the January transfer window having long closed shut.

As reported last week by the Siya crew, management at the Team of Choice are looking to come to a settlement agreement with both Andrea Fileccia and Keletso Makgalwa, after it was revealed that the duo will not be in Head Coach Eric

Tinkler’s plans for the rest of the season.

The club has already parted ways with Thato Thlone and Yazid Atouba and are now looking to free up more space on their wage bill.

According to Siya sources, first team player Ziyaad Eksteen and Justin Zindoga are now training with the MultiChoice Diski Challenge set-up, with sources revealing that the two players are not in Tinkler’s plans, with indication that a decision about their immediate future at the club will be made within the coming weeks.

In addition, sources have revealed that 23-year-old centre-back Motsie Matima has left the KwaZulu Natal- based club having made just four appearances in all competitions for Maritzburg so far this season.

Now it remains to be seen what will come of Zindoga and Eksteen’s futures at the club and the first team, while it is also yet to be revealed whether an exit agreement has been reached with both Fileccia and Makgalwa, respectively.

The Team of Choice are currently struggling at the very bottom of the Absa Premiership standings, having won just two league matches so far this season.
