CELTIC DRAW SENDS DOWNS BACK TO DRAWING BOARD
Pitso Mosimane’s poor management of the team is highly deplorable, to say the least. It was apparent in the past four games that Hlompho Kekana and Tiyani Mabunda needed to be rested and make way for Andile Jali and Sphelele Mkhulise in the second half to enable them to be fit and ready for our crucial CAF Champions League games. Gaston Sirino, on the other hand, has not performed to his best but because he has no competition in his position, he makes it into the starting line up in every game. Emiliano Tade, in my personal opinion, is overrated and selfish and not better than Phakamani Mahlambi, but is preferred. I urge Sundowns’ technical team to sign a technically good striker and a left-footed winger at the end of the season to reinforce our attack. Thabo Mabetoa, Pretoria Sundowns failed to extend their lead when they drew unnecessarily against Celtic in their own backyard. The visitors came for a draw and they achieved their mission as they had a number of players in their own half. Tebogo Potsane was giving Downs a lot of problems when in possession of the ball. I believe the Siwelele players defended better and also succeeded in keeping Themba Zwane quiet. Wandisile Letlabika was unfortunate to get that injury because he had just come back from a long-term injury. Credit to the medical teams of the two clubs for doing everything to save the player’s life on the field. Sundowns’ medical team showed ubuntu. Madimetja Vic Mashamaite, Renstown
