GEEZ, CHIEFS!

-

I am very disappointed with the way Kaizer Chiefs played against Bloemfontein Celtic. To say that they played like headless chickens would be an insult to poultry. Their body language showed that they were not willing to play that game. The coach, Ernst Middendorp, seems to be losing his touch because in every game he changes more than five players, which leads me to the conclusion that he is getting clueless. If he continues like this, then he is going to kiss the Nedbank Cup trophy goodbye. Nghamula Rikhotso, Mageva Village I wonder which team we are going to beat when we have five defenders in the line-up. I’m sorry, but it does not work, coach. Majaka, Esikhawini, Richards Bay Kaizer Chiefs’ inconsistency will be the death of me. Out of all Premier League outfits, they saw it fit - deplorable as it may sound - to succumb to yet another defeat at the hands of lowly Baroka FC recently. Yes, the level of inconsistency boggles the mind and the clear lack of zeal and oomph from the playing personnel leaves a lot to be desired. However, some of our troubles are compounded by the unpalatable team selection, where a player like Dumisani Zuma always finds himself warming the bench, when defenders like Siphosakhe NtiyaNtiya and Philani Zulu get deployed to play in more advanced roles. On some days, watching Chiefs playing is like watching paint dry. Pity, talent alone is not enough. Our boys suffer from an inferiority complex and lack faith in their capabilities. Owen Mafukele-Valoyi, Nkuri-Tomu If Kaizer Chiefs want to win the Nedbank Cup, they need to completely change their way of playing. I wasn’t impressed at all by the way they played against Bloemfontein Celtic and, for that reason, I fear for the worst against the unpredictable TS Galaxy. I foresee huge disappointment because the opponents have nothing to prove, unlike the Glamour Boys who are under massive pressure to add silverware to a cabinet that has been empty for four seasons. My friendly warning to the coach and the boys is to start correcting their mistakes if they are looking to please the Amakhosi faithful. We need nothing but victory so that we participate in and conquer Africa. Derrick Obama, Johannesburg I don’t know what is happening behind the scenes at my team Kaizer Chiefs, but it looks like the situation is going from bad to worse. Club boss Kaizer Motaung should sit down with everyone and find out where the problem lies. Three games and no win is an embarrassment to us as supporters and we are not happy about this at all.
