Hurdle in Gamildien’s Chiefs move!

-

There’s a potential hurdle in Ruzaigh Gamildien’s mooted move to Kaizer Chiefs, the Siya crew has been informed.

As previously reported, indications are that the two clubs had agreed to the deal in principle and the player had also agreed to the move in principle, barring that the 32-yearold’s personal terms would be agreed upon.

At the time, sources had revealed that the proposed contract would be a one-year deal with an added two-year option.

With the proposed deal subject to the player’s personal terms being agreed to, insiders had informed the Siya crew that the player was hopeful of getting an improved package as he prepares to make the biggest move of his career.

Now, the latest information reaching the Siya crew is that the move has hit a hurdle!

While the possible deal hasn’t quite collapsed, there have been suggestions that the finer details haven’t yet been ironed out and that could hold up the transfer, despite the two clubs having agreed to it in principle.

According to the information made available, the parties involved are hopeful of ironing out the finer details, though there still could be a high level of negotiations behind the scenes before it is concluded.

However, according to sources at both clubs, should Gamildien’s move fall through, it will not affect Njabulo Ngcobo’s proposed switch from Swallows FC to Chiefs. The defender’s transfer is expected to be announced at the end of the season, with a number of business dealings expected to take place between the two outfits.

Gamildien joined Swallows at the start of the current season from Chippa United after a few years in the doldrums, but has made a remarkable impression this season. His form as the Dube Birds top scorer led to his recent Bafana Bafana call-up too.
