Pirates to offer Dube for Sibisi?

-

The Siya crew has been informed that Orlando Pirates could use Mthokozisi Dube as leverage in order to secure Nkosinathi Sibisi’s signature.

Dube was loaned out to Golden Arrows for a second time at the start of this season and Soccer Laduma reported last year, in August, that the right back’s stay could be made permanent at the end of the season.

Pirates opted to send the defender out on loan, knowing that they had enough cover in the position after signing Bandile Shandu from Maritzburg United.

The latest news reaching the crew is that the proposed permanent move is still on the cards for the 29-year-old Dube, though he is expected to be offered in exchange for Sibisi, as the Buccaneers escalate their interest in the latter.

However, it is unclear if the proposed deal would be a straight swap or a swap plus cash deal.

Dube has been one of Arrows’ consistent performers, making 18 appearances in all competitions for the KZN outfit this season as they look to push for a Top Eight finish at the end of the campaign.

His experience has been of value to

Arrows and the Siya crew has been led to believe that the club is still keen to sign him on a permanent basis while Sibisi makes a move up to Gauteng.

According to information received by the Siya crew, Sibisi is a priority for the Buccaneers in the next transfer window as they look to bolster their defence.

Pirates and Arrows have had a good relationship when it comes to transfers, with the Buccaneers previously loaning some of their players to the KZN outfit and signing a few from the club on permanent deals.
