Chiefs’ interest in Ndlondlo

-

Kaizer Chiefs are showing serious interest in Marumo Gallants midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, with a number of changes expected at Naturena ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Ndlondlo has been a standout performer, and one of the most consistent, in the league over the past two seasons and arguably Gallants’ best player at the moment.

To date in the 2021/22 season, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder has made 22 appearances in the club’s DStv Premiership campaign and has scored seven goals in the process. He is behind on the goal-scoring charts only to

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Peter Shalulile, Royal AM’s Victor Letsoalo and Bienvenu Eva Nga of Chippa United, who are all out-and-out strikers.

A well-placed source has confirmed that Ndlondlo is being monitored by Amakhosi for a possible move to Naturena next season.

“Kaizer Chiefs are eyeing Ndlondlo, although there have been no formal approaches from the club at this stage. That’s probably because the player is still contracted to Marumo Gallants for another season. There is a big chance of the boy moving at the end of the season as there are a few other clubs who have been impressed with his performances for Gallants,” said the source.

“The boy is on top of his game at the moment and it is puzzling that he is not in the Bafana Bafana set-up. He is also being monitored by clubs in North Africa and Gallants will have a big decision to make about his future at the end of the season. This is the same player who was influential in helping the team to win the Nedbank Cup last season when they were still known as TTM,” the source added.

AmaZulu FC are also keen on Ndlondlo, as previously reported by the Siya crew.
