Agent confirms Rulwana’s Sundowns deal
Mamelodi Sundowns have secured the signature of in-demand talented youngster Onele Rulwana, as confirmed by his representative Sipho Joyisi.
Rulwana emerged as one of the most sought-after young talents in local football, with several DStv Premiership clubs chasing his signature, including the likes of Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, TS Galaxy, Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs.
The 17-year-old left-footed midfielder caught the attention of scouts while playing for the School of Excellence in the Gauteng edition of the Engen Knockout competition , p , - downs had been leading the race to sign the youngster.
Contacted for comment, the player’s representative, Sipho Joyisi, confirmed that Rulwana will be joining the Chloorkop-based outfit.
“The issue with Onele is that there have been several agents claiming to represent the kid, and that caused a lot of confusion in the last few weeks. The boy’s parents have been inundated with calls from several people who promised heaven and earth. But I can confirm that I am the rightful representative of the player and we have reached an agreement with Sundowns for the boy to join the club for their development,” confirmed Joyisi.
“It’s a done deal, the boy is going to Sundowns and we are delighted about that. Sundowns were professional in how everything was handled, and we are looking forward to the future,” the intermediary concluded.
