Soccer Laduma

READERS WHISTLE FOR MORE

Part 2 of Victor Hlungwani was very interesting. The whistle doctor didn’t only enjoy running on the pitch but also putting the safety of footballers first. Most of us think the job of a referee is to give as many red or yellow cards as possible, but thanks to this interview, now we know better. We now know that a referee’s job is to ensure that all players come out of the pitch cardless, injury-free and having enjoyed the game. We also did not know that giving a card in the first 10 minutes of the game will automatically destroy the game completely. Victor, thanks man, you are a blessing. We love and will keep on praying for you. Moses Mokoena, Ga-Mokwakwaila

Soccer Laduma, can you please bring Victor Hlungwani back? Maybe this time around on ‘In Touch With…’,

as I laughed non-stop reading his interview!

It is true when they say don’t judge a book by its cover. I’m saying this because watching referee Victor Hlungwani doing his job on the field, you’ll never catch a sniff of his funny side, which is that of a man who usually makes jokes with the players. That can only be because he often looks more serious than an invigilator during exam time. His interview was so entertaining. I really enjoyed it and laughed so loud reading it. He and Mbongeni Mzimela made my week. I wish Soccer Laduma can have Part 3 with the good ref. I have never laughed like that in my entire life. Thanks, gentlemen. To the ref, farewell and enjoy your retirement. Nyambeni Samson Khuphani, Tshiawelo Ext 5
