AGENT CONFIRMS MOKHELE’S CONTRACT TERMINATION

-

Maloisane Mokhele’s representative has confirmed that the player will be moving on after parting ways with Chippa United.

It was recently reported by the Siya crew that the player’s agent, Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi of Rush Hour Sports Management, had threatened to take legal action against the Chilli Boys for the alleged non-payment of Mokhele’s salary for last month, while the club remained silent on the matter.

Mulovhedzi has since confirmed that an agreement has been reached for the parties to go their separate ways, with the 25-year-old winger set to appear in the colours of a new club this season.

“I can confirm that Maloisane Mokhele has parted ways with Chippa United amicably. The parties have agreed on a settlement and the player will be paid by the club the amount that we agreed on.

“As the player’s representatives, we are waiting on that payment to be made to allow us to focus on getting a new club for him. But I can confirm that the player’s contract has been terminated and he is now a free agent,” said Mulovhedzi.

“I would like to thank our legal team, led by Brad Brookstone and Jesse Goshen, after they proved once again that one can rely on them after they successfully handled the matter and ensured that justice was served for the player.

“I would also like to thank Mr Kabelo Mashigo, who represented Chippa, for the professional manner in which the whole situation was handled.

“I can’t forget Chippa chairman, Mr Chippa Mpengesi, for acknowledging the mistake that was made from their side and making sure that it was rectified, hence the amicable settlement decision. The chairman’s son (Sandiso Mpengesi, Chippa general manager) and the club’s senior official Mr Wanda Mbenguzana were very cooperative, and they also deserve a mention,” concluded the intermediary.
