MUCHICHWA OFFSIDE

-

A lot of our ex-pro players, especially from Chiefs and Pirates, can’t seem to accept that their time has passed. My statement refers to Robson Muchichwa’s utterances in Soccer Laduma issue 1287. For me, he’s judging the two teams based on their last season’s results when he says they are like a stuck train. I’d understand that from an ordinary supporter but not an ex-pro like him. The two teams are on six and eight points out of a possible 12 and 15 respectively. Everyone is singing at the top of their voices about Sundowns, who’ve also registered a loss and a draw among their four games thus far, but it seems to be acceptable for them. I don’t understand when Muchichwa says Chiefs rushed Zwane’s appointment, as if there’s a perfect time for such an appointment. We have a generation of young coaches and Amakhosi management is moving along with the times. The likes of Muchichwa should remember that there are still supporters who value their professional input and should be careful about what they say. Malesela “Dance” Boya Kanana,
