We’ll be a whole lot better

Dan Malesela – Royal AM co-coach

“We are obviously facing a side that we met just over a week ago in the league and I can tell you now, they most probably won’t be the same. They’re likely to make some changes from the team that beat us 1-0. But look, the one thing I can confidently say is that we will be a whole lot better than how we were when we played them. We didn’t have enough shots at goal, we had half-chances here and there and we overcooked our passes. We were technically wrong in a couple of areas, but we have been working on correcting those wrongs and I believe we will be a better team on the day. For me, I believe we shouldn’t just be in a knockout competition for the sake of just being there. I hate that situation of just adding numbers in a competition, I believe in competing and going into it to win it. We have to win this MTN8. If we can get to the final of a competition as quick as this one, we’ve got to give it our all. I’ve been to the semi-finals and never to the final of this competition, and I’m hoping we will get to the final this season. It’s obviously a work in progress so far, but the boys are coming together very well, rapidly so.”
