The Buccaneers surprisingly sent Radiopane to Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town Spurs on loan for the 2022/23 season, despite the 20-year-old having had a splendid 2021/22 campaign after finishing as the DStv Diski Challenge Golden Boot winner and Player of the Season.
The latest news reaching the Siya crew is that Pirates are on the verge of completing a deal for young striker Cebo Kunene, who has been identified as a replacement for Radiopane. Kunene is a 20-year-old marksman and has been on the books of Ngwaabe
City Motors FC in the third tier.
“Cebo Kunene is on the verge of signing with Pirates for their DStv Diski Challenge team. He is a striker
and has been identified to replace Radiopane,” confirmed a source.
Sources at Ngwaabe confirmed that the player has
been handed his clearance and given his blessings to further his career at Bucs.
Pirates currently also have Azola Matrose and Ronaldo Maarman on loan at Chippa United, among the young players that are being groomed by the Houghton-based outfit for the future.
