GALLANTS TO WAIT FOR MNYAMANE?

-

Marumo Gallants are willing to wait on attacker Thabo Mnyamane to make a full recovery before making a decision on his future, the Siya crew has been informed.

Mnyamane underwent a knee operation earlier this year, which has kept him sidelined for a lengthy period. As a result, the 30-year-old striker has not had any pre-season with the club as he works his way back to full recovery.

Worrying for Mnyamane is the fact that his two-year deal with the Polokwane-based outfit expired at the end of June, technically making him a free agent.

But Soccer Laduma has been informed that Gallants could well hold onto the Vaal-born star.

According to Siya sources, Mnyamane, who joined the club in 2020 after parting ways with SuperSport United, is currently undergoing his rehabilitation with the club.

Once the former North West University star has made a full recovery, the two parties will then sit down to discuss whether he will form part of the technical team’s plans for the current season or whether he will have to begin a search for a new club.

The club did inform the crew that they were keen on retaining his services back in June. However, it remains to be seen what is decided.

The former University of Pretoria attacker did make 23 appearances for Gallants last season, although he failed to find the back of the net during that period.
