SANTOS ADDED TO LIST OF GALLANTS CANDIDATES
Portuguese coach Nelson Santos has his name added to the list of coaches linked with a move to the DStv Premiership as a number of clubs look to reshuffle their technical teams.
Following the resignation of Romain Folz from his role as the head coach at Maru-mo Gallants earlier this month, Chippa United relieved Daine Klate of his coaching duties at the Eastern Cape club last Thursday.
And while Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse and Lehlohonolo Seema are some of the coaches that have been linked with Gallants and the Chilli Boys respectively, Santos has en-tered into the mix.
The Portuguese coach has been made available and vying for the Gallants role, according to informants, which is currently held by Raymond Mdaka in an interim capacity following the departure of Folz.
“Nelson Santos is keen on working in the DStv Premiership and will be open to joining any team that will be interested in his services,” said a source.
“The coach’s representatives are looking for opportunities for him in Mzansi for his next deal, although the coach is open to getting into any other interesting project elsewhere should a good offer come his way. Nelson holds a UEFA Pro Licence and has been working at Ferroviario de Nampula in Mozambique in recent times,” the source confirmed.
