MALATJI POURS COLD WATER ON COACHING EXIT

-

The crazy season is upon us and following the sacking of Daine Klate by

Chippa United, the rumour mill has it that Sekhukhune United’s technical team is alleged to be next in the firing line.

The Siya crew has been informed that after a single victory, three defeats and three draws in seven starts, Babina Noko’s management is not overly impressed about the team’s performance since the beginning of the season.

According to sources, unless the team secure full points against Stellenbosch FC this weekend, their contracts would be reviewed.

But United CEO Jonas Malatji has poured cold water over the allegations and instead expressed full confidence in the technical committee, adding that the team has been playing extremely well but has been unlucky in recent times.

“Management strongly believe that against Richards Bay FC, a defensive blunder by Edwin Gymah proved to be our downfall, not that we had been outplayed or played badly,” said Malatji.

“And even in the game against Royal AM and Swallows FC, we competed equally but committed silly defensive mistakes and got punished. But, overall, we are happy and I can assure you there is no crisis,” added Malatji.

Kaitano Tembo arrived at Sekhukhune with an impressive CV from SuperSport United, where he had achieved a small miracle despite operating with a very thin squad and still managed some decent results.

But things have not gone his way since his arrival and after seven matches, he has only secured five points out of a possible 21 points, which has plummeted them to the bottom half of the DStv Premiership standings.
