Sundowns open to deadline day offers?

-

The Siya crew has been informed that Mamelodi Sundowns would not completely close the door on deadline day offers for players who are in need of game-time.

The transfer window is set to close on Thursday, September 22, and the club is believed to be willing to listen to offers for Gift Motupa and Lesedi Kapinga, who are unlikely to get regular gametime if they stay at Chloorkop beyond the close of the transfer window.

Motupa has not made an appearance for the club and it’s believed he is open to making a loan move for the season, to get minutes under his belt.

The crew was previously informed that SuperSport United were interested in the services of the former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits forward, but it’s unclear at this stage if Matsatsantsa would make a deadline day offer for the player. The player wants game-time and would consider any offer that would, of course, be right for him.

Kapinga, meanwhile, has made three appearances as a substitute for the Tshwane giants this season, playing a total of 27 minutes.

Despite showing some promise in some of the matches he has played, the 27-year-old has struggled to get himself into the starting line-up. With new faces at the Chloorkop-based club, it will be even harder for him to make it into the starting line-up.
