SPOT-ON, VEEJAY
I couldn’t help but agree with my good friend VeeJay (editor Vuyani Joni) about former legends lambasting and speak ill of the current crop in edition 1290. I unfortunately got my paper late and after reading it on Monday last week and going through Alex Bapela’s sentiments, I realised VeeJay was spot-on. It’s not the fault of Sundowns players that they are paid well, unlike the previous generation. Bapela and Co. need to give constructive criticism. Also, it’s not like players are forced to join Sundowns, they go there on their own free will, so having talent in abundance can’t be blamed on the club. I also enjoyed the Siya Special where they were talking about Sundown’s recruitment policy in South America. I must say I’m not surprised they continue to get the best, like Marcelo Allende.
