Andile Kotana wants to know why I never played in the English Premiership. Look, the EPL was

never going to work for me based on their style of football. They play direct football and I was never that kind of a player, so it was never going to work.

Sipho Ntshole is asking for my view on equal remuneration between women and men’s national teams. At the end of the day, they both serve the same purpose and gender equality is very important and we can’t preach gender equality and when it comes to work environment we talk a different story.

Is Bafana Bafana improving? That’s a question from Karabo Mosele and I’m going to be as honest as I can be. Is the nation happy, Karabo? Is everyone happy with our national team? People are not happy out there, so I think that answers your question.

Alfred Syks is asking about the standard of our football. Well, it fluctuates and I’ve had a number of conversations around this. I’m not sure whether it is lack of competition or the drive, because there’s been only one team that’s been dominating in the past five seasons. Have the so-called small teams closed the gap or the so-called big teams dropped the ball? It is so difficult for one to tell.

Sipho Mfengu wants to know if foreign or European coaches are better for Bafana or Chiefs and Pirates than the locals. Well, yes, they are better only if they get proper guidance from the locals. If they don’t do that, then they will be lost. History and philosophy are two things you can’t overlook.
