I thank all the supporters

Last week, I had an opportunity to finally launch my documentary and I must say I’m very happy with the feedback so far. It gives me a great deal of pleasure to know that some people’s questions have been answered. Yes, I’ve always been a private person, but the time has finally come for me to share my story with the whole world. There are a lot of people who say they’ve never seen me play and I hope the documentary will go a long way in painting a picture of the journey I have travelled. To be honest, there’s no controversy, but I know people will still be interested because even myself I was surprised, blown away and shocked by the trailers because I’m not used to this kind of stuff. When I was playing, I never thought much about the impact I had on people because I was all about putting a smile on the supporters’ faces. I will never forget that line from Dr Kaizer Motaung and everyone who reads this column will know what I’m talking about. Anyone who played for Kaizer Chiefs will tell you about the importance of putting a smile on the supporters’ faces and how the Chairman always reminded us of that. I also need to thank all the supporters for the love and support over the years.
