Sundowns keeping a close eye?

-

The Brazilians have previously been linked with Mmodi, and with their wellknown strategy of always aiming to strengthen the team with the top players available on the market, they cannot be ruled out in the race for the skilful player. Downs are another club that has a good relationship with Arrows when it comes to player transfers, with defender Divine Lunga one of the latest players to have been transferred between the two clubs when the Zimbabwean was signed from Abafana Bes’thende last year and then loaned back to the club for the current campaign. Depending on the Tshwane giants’ plans for next season, a tempting offer could be made for Mmodi.

A chance to cement Bafana place

While a move to any of the Big Three clubs would most likely be financially rewarding for Mmodi, it could also be an opportunity to prove his quality among some of the top players in the league for a chance to cement his place at Bafana Bafana. Hugo Broos is critical of the standard of the league and it is clear that the Belgian wants to see players playing at a higher and competitive level to be selected for the national team. With Sundowns frequently competing in CAF competitions, and Pirates and Chiefs a little less so, Mmodi would have a good chance of competing at a higher standards in African inter-club competitions, something which might please Broos.
