Doc answers your questions…

-

Sifiso Kanalelo – it is great to hear from Eswatini – wants to know after everything I have done for Kaizer Chiefs during my playing days and even going on to acquire coaching badges, if I don’t think it is unfair that I’m not involved with the team at any level? Look, at the end of the day, it is all projects and preferences. I wouldn’t want to say it is unfair, but it is what it is. If what they want is not what Doc wants, or vice versa, then it may not happen. Honestly, I would have loved to be part of the Chiefs technical team or even play a role in any capacity that would enhance the football there. It really hurt and frustrated me (not to be there), but I had to accept it as a reality of life. I made a mark, so I need to continue doing that and grow so that other people can realise my potential. That’s why I’m always positive.

Danny Moreo, you have a similar question to the previous one about me not coaching and you also want me to describe Tinashe Nengomasha in that Chiefs engine room. To be honest, a lot of teams can’t handle my brand. It looks like this brand is too big for them. When you talk about Tinashe, you’re talking about a General! This is someone with loads of talent, aggression, power and timing. What a human being! Unfortunately, we almost lost him at a young age when a certain coach almost destroyed him mentally. Ace Khuse and I were then given a chance to coach the club and I can tell you that we brought Tinashe back from the dead! He can attest to this even today. What a great talent he was! He’s giving 99% all the time on and off the field.

Veli Ndlovu is asking about Chiefs allegedly mistreating players from outside of Soweto and you say you’ve heard this from Skapie Malatsi. I really can’t speak for other players, but if you are talking about such a big brand as Chiefs, then it is a different story. From my personal experience, there was nothing like that, unless people were doing such in their personal capacity and in a small corner without anyone noticing it. No one was illtreated at Chiefs, but if there are people saying anything to the contrary, it is only fair that they give details and not drag Chiefs’ name through the mud. If there’s one particular player responsible for that, then it should be made known rather

than hiding behind Chiefs’ brand and I’m not trying to

protect anyone here but just stating the facts.
