BOBETE ATTRACTS INTEREST IN KZN?

-

Just a few days after parting ways with Baroka FC, Bennet Bobete is attracting interest from at least two clubs, with Royal AM and AmaZulu FC believed to be keen on his services.

As revealed by the Siya crew last week, Bobete has become a free agent after the termination of his contract at Bakgaga. Sources close to the 21-yearold midfielder confirmed that a move to the DStv Premiership is in the pipeline for the exciting talent as he plans to follow some of his former teammates, including Orlando Pirates’ Evidence Makgopa, Sekhukhune United’s Thamsanqa Masiya and Nhlanhla Mgaga of Stellenbosch FC, who earned moves to the topflight after Baroka’s relegation at the end of last season.

According to the sources, Thwihli Thwahla and Usuthu are monitoring the situation closely and keen to add Bobete to their respective squads possibly for the second round of the 2022/23 season.

“Bennet Bobete is a free agent and is assessing his options regarding the next move. There is a lot of interest in him, but he won’t rush into making a decision because he wants to join a PSL (topflight) club where he will have a good chance of playing in order to take his career to another level,” said a source.

“Royal AM and AmaZulu have showed interest in the boy, but it is still early days. The player’s handlers want the best possible deal for him, which will enable his growth,” the source added.
