MALEKA ATTRACTS PSL INTEREST

-

Former Marumo Gallants caretaker coach Mpho Maleka is attracting interest in the PSL as the season is approaching the halfway mark, the Siya crew has learnt.

Maleka has been unattached since parting ways with Gallants in August after he was initially suspended by the club. According to sources, the football legend is targeted by no less than two clubs, with indications that both Baroka FC and Black Leopards are assessing options to possibly bring him on board to their respective camps. Both teams haven’t had the best of starts to the new season and are sitting in 10th and 16th place respectively on the Motsepe Foundation Championship log (before Tuesday’s fixtures). While there is no official word from the two clubs on their coaching plans, sources have revealed that Maleka is targeted by both outfits as part of the changes that are likely to take place at the different clubs in the coming weeks, while many leagues across the globe will be in recess in view of the FIFA World Cup taking place in Qatar.

“Mpho Maleka is currently unattached and is available to any team that needs his services, and he is ready. Baroka FC and Black Leopards have showed interest in the coach and it’s something that could be taken forward in the near future,” said a source.
