All Stars considering Mahlambi move?
The Siya crew has been led to believe that Motsepe Foundation
Championship side All Stars are looking at the possibility of signing former Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns star Phakamani Mahlambi.
The attacker has been without a club since parting ways with the Tshwane giants at the end of June, when his contract came to an end. While there have not been too many concrete offers on the table for the former Al Ahly player, as 1295, it’s understood th atA ll Stars have an interest in bringing him on board, in the hope that he will help them win promotion to the topflight of South African football.
“I know that there is a Motsepe Foundation Championship club that is interested in signing him. He is a free agent, after all,” a source told the Siya crew.
Mahlambi, who is believed to have been with SuperSport United for a short period during pre-season, spent the previous two seasons on loan to Chippa United and AmaZulu FC but was unable to make the most of those
opportunities, with injury also affecting him while with the Chilli Boys.
With age still on his side, however, he still has an opportunity to get his career back on track and try to get back to the topflight and continue to showcase his talent.
The Siya crew tried to get hold of Mahlambi’s agent, Glyn Binkin, for a comment, but he was unavailable at the time of going to print.
