You learn something from them
“Soccer Laduma helps us a lot in terms of bringing us closer and understanding exactly what’s going on at different football clubs. They bring us all the news from the different teams and keep us informed so that we are not left behind and stay up-todate with what is happening at these teams, as people who support South African football. Soccer Laduma is playing a huge role because the stories we read from this publication also teach us because these are stories about people who are in the game now, former professional players, coaches, managers, chairmen and all that, and when they talk about their challenges or ins and outs of the game, you learn something from them. Even the upcoming players can already learn to say, ‘You know what, I don’t want to make the same mistake as this guy,’ after reading a story about a certain player in Soccer Laduma. I enjoy both international and local sections, but they say local is lekker, so you don’t want to be left behind on things happening at home. As a proud South African, you want to stay on top of everything happening in our game. Also, as an ex-professional
who played in Europe, I also want to stay updated on my previous teams’ progress and developments and I’m also involved with international tournaments, so it is important for me to know what to expect in those tournaments. Some of the guys I played with are coaching abroad and I’m always in contact with them to bring South African players and that’s why I started #KeepActive where we develop young boys into better professionals and manage them. I have contacts in Denmark where I played and the communication is easy because they trust me.”
