The man who started it all

The 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup kicked off on Sunday and it promises to be a true history-making event. The hosts lost, it is also the first time ever that this tournament is played between November and December. There are a number of firsts in this tournament already and some people were turned off by the rules that are imposed on travelling supporters. As we all know, Qatar is a Muslim country, which means there are a lot of things that are considered normal that will not be allowed there. I must say those restrictions have put paid to having an unbelievable crowd and attendance figures as well as the vibe of the World Cup. Having said that, I’m looking forward to new innovations and trends in football because this is where we learn new things in this game. I can feel that the excitement is starting to build up, even though it is not like any of the previous editions. This is a different one, completely, and it has a different feel to it.
