May the Almighty be with them

-

“With the highest degree of respect to the coach and the club that is a monumental institution of South African and African football, I want to give credit to the chairman and managefor ment the job well done in their recruitment during the past transfer window period. They practically provided the coach with quality players to get us back where we belong, among the challengers for silverware. We now have a balance between quality players and quality coaching. I would say a job well done by the club by signing those players and bringing a coach whose philosophy was accepted by the players. There are several matches where we were unlucky not to get the results, but I believe we are headed in the right direction. As someone who looks back, respectfully to my former club and as someone who loves football, I can say I am very happy with everything the coach has done so far at Pirates. However, at a big club like Pirates, you are as good as your last game. You are as good as your last silverware. He’s tasted silverware success after such a long time without any trophy for the team. He has also made sure the team stops being a punching bag of Mamelodi Sundowns when he beat them in the MTN8 and showed that Orlando Pirates can play against any team. With that mentality and all the other facts that speak volumes about the quality of coach Riveiro, whatever he and his technical team and players do, may the Almighty God be with them and bless them with success. To the coach, players, technical team, management and everyone at Pirates, I wish you everything of the best and will always love and support you.”
