After abruptly parting ways with Sekhukhune United in June this year, Jampies then put pen to paper with Tshakhuma, on a two-yearlong contract after the side from Limpopo managed to fend off competition from Cape Town Spurs for his services.

One month after he was signed, the club appointed Jampies as the club’s captain for the 2022/23 season. In his time with the side, the player made five appearances under coach Johnny Ferreira, although he soon disappeared from the matchday squad after he raised his concern over the unpaid salaries as the club’s captain.

“I had a two-year contract there, so what happened was, after I spoke, as the mouthpiece of the players, concerning our money I was dropped out of the team and the coach was told not to select me and a few other players, Kgopane Mothusi, Tumelo Maaka. So, there was a few of us that they tried to get rid of,” he said.

“Initially, they gave us termination contracts, which also didn’t sit well with me. It meant that this was a club that didn’t want anyone to ask about money that was rightfully ours. They don’t care whether you are miles away from home, where you live, what you are eating.

“So, that was weird to me. I wasn’t happy with a clause that was in the contract. It clearly stated that I want a termination, which is not the truth,” Jampies added.

The 32-year-old accepted the club’s termination letter in October, where the two parties officially parted ways.

“After considering that the trust relationship was broken between the two parties, my agent took the decision to get my contract terminated. So, as far as I know, my lawyer is busy with them and we will see how my lawyer responds to what is happening.”

According to the player, that agreement has not been followed, indicating that he is still owed twoand-a-half months’ salary.
