Mthuthuzeli Magqashela from Gqeberha wants to know if there was any instruction I was given by the technical team in the game against Ghana, where I was all over Frank Amankwah, and the game against Brazil, where we lost 3-2. Honestly, there was a role I was given against Ghana. The technical team decided that Jomo Sono would go and watch Ghana and then come back with some information on them. Coach Clive Barker gave Bro J the platform to share his findings upon his return and one of his observations was that Frank was the one who made Ghana tick, through initiating play from the back. He said,” There’s only one player I feel we can use to nullify the opposition. If he pushes up, he must stay there and every ball we get when defending must be played straight to him.” He was talking about me and I was given a free role. I was told not to defend, but when in possession, I was given the licence to dribble or do whatever I wanted to do while ensuring that I drew one of the central defenders to commit, with Shoes Moshoeu arriving late into the box. Everything turned out exactly like Bro J and coach Clive planned. As for the Brazil game, that

was a different one because Clive told me we needed the crowd behind us, so I had to make things happen for the team. I felt I was going to have a great game as we walked through the tunnel and it proved to be just like that.

Lista Caleni asks why referee Ntambidila waNtambidila looked to have a grudge against me as he kept on giving me unnecessary bookings. That’s a good question and I would also like to know what was going on with the referee. It is such a pity I can’t answer for him because I also would like to know what was happening.
